We are pleased to announce the following postdoctoral researchers joining CIERA this summer and fall, 2021. Welcome!

CIERA Postdoctoral Fellows

Tarraneh Eftekhari (Harvard) joins as a CIERA Fellow to study the transient radio and millimeter sky, and to map the duration-luminosity phase space of radio and millimeter transients.

Seth Gossage (Harvard) joins as a CIERA Fellow to study stellar astrophysics, stellar populations, stellar magnetic fields with computational modeling and statistics.

Ariadna Murguia-Berthier (UCSC) joins as a Hubble Fellow to study compact-object mergers using numerical relativity magneto-hydrodynamics.

Nastasha Wijers (Leiden Observatory) joins as a CIERA Fellow to study numerical simulations of galaxy formation.

CIERA Research faculty and Postdoctoral associates in faculty groups

Zoheyr Doctor (U Oregon) joins as the Board of Visitors (BoV) Research Professor in support of the Director’s research, a role that is both a researcher and a science manager, developing and maintaining the research of the Kalogera research group, and contributing to research on a variety of topics, including compact objects, stellar evolution and gravitational astrophysics.

Vishal Baibhav (Johns Hopkins) joins as a postdoctoral associate working with Prof. Kalogera on gravitational wave source populations in various environments.

Sharan Banagiri (U Minnesota) joins as a postdoctoral associate working with Prof. Kalogera on gravitational-wave data, astrophysics and cosmology with gravitational waves.

Jonatan Jacquemin Ide (IPAG UGA) joins as a postdoctoral associate working with Prof. Tchekhovskoy on X-ray binary state transitions and neutron star/disk interactions.

Meng Sun (U Wisconsin-Madison) joins as a postdoctoral associate working with Prof. Kalogera on binary and stellar evolution.
