Asad Ukani is interested in studying the supermassive black hole at the Galactic Center, Sagittarius A* (SgrA*). Specifically, he is hoping to investigate the impacts of the black hole’s accretion on the circumnuclear disk, nuclear star cluster, and the multiphase circumgalactic medium. Additionally, he is also interested in pursuing research aimed at understanding the fundamental characteristics of the black hole. he was born in Houston, TX, but grew up in Mumbai, India for most of his childhood. He attended high school in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and completed by undergraduate degree in Astrophysics at UCLA. He is currently pursuing a Physics PhD at Northwestern
