CIERA Postdocs Advance to New Positions

Congratulations to Ian Christie, Kyle Kremer, Mario Spera, and Jonathan Stern — the newest postdoctoral alumni from CIERA.

ian ChristieIan Christie will begin a new position as Principal Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman.

 

 

 

Kyle Kremer will be leaving CIERA to join Caltech and Carnegie Observatories as an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow. Kyle will continue his work on the dynamics of black holes in dense star clusters.

 

 

 

Mario SperaMario Spera has accepted a type-B research position (RTDB) at Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati in Trieste, Italy. The Italian “RTDB” leads to a tenure track professorship position. Mario will have the chance to start his own research group and will be continuing his research on the astrophysical interpretation of gravitational-wave sources.

 

 

Jonathan SternJonathan Stern has accepted a faculty position at the department of astrophysics in Tel-Aviv University, which is located in Tel-Aviv, Israel. He will be continuing his research on the formation and evolution of galaxies and active galactic nuclei.
