Heather holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Fine Arts from DePaul University. Before joining the Segal team, she spent several years as an art educator, developing and directing art programs in public, private, and international schools.
Heather promotes CIERA and our researchers to the outside world and organizes large, complex, or unusual events. In this role, Heather:
- Produces CIERA’s marketing materials
- Leads logistics for large conferences, outreach events, and public lectures
- Writes news stories & newsletters
- Liaises with media professionals and handles CIERA’s social media accounts
- Helps develop the center’s website; designs and manages conference and project websites
