Janet is CIERA’s day-to-day financial and HR support specialist, working closely with the Financial Administrator. Her responsibilities include:

  • Handling hiring process, including interfacing with HR, J-1 VISA requests, communication with new hires, and more
  • Processes invoices, additional payment and contractor payment requests
  • Manages budget and administrative functions/support for the LSSTC DSFP
  • Makes purchases for CIERA; especially grant purchases (ex. computers/office equipment, lab supplies)
  • Handles expense reports for special projects, Visiting Scholars, and faculty
  • Supports travel and reimbursements for visitors, as well asĀ  group meal reimbursements
  • Primary resource for questions about travel and submitting expense reports
  • Supports Financial Administrator with payroll and budgeting functions
  • Supports Director of Operations with compiling proposal personnel documents
  • Requests and tracks affiliate Net IDs
