Kierstin Sorensen studies gravitational waves from Binary White Dwarf star systems. The spectrum of gravitational waves from these systems will be visible to the future project LISA. Therefore, she currently uses the galaxy simulation program COSMIC to simulate what should be seen by LISA based on the current understanding of the Universe.
