Nick Viera is an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow. He works on the infrastructure used to hunt for and study astrophysical events which speak to us via multiple cosmic messengers: electromagnetic radiation, gravitational waves, neutrinos, and cosmic rays. He’s especially interested in multi-messenger observations of the mergers of neutron stars, and what they can tell us about the origins of the heaviest elements in the Universe.
