The CIERA Spotlight Series highlights the research and career paths of CIERA community members and bring to light the human side of science. These interviews are posted to CIERA’s YouTube channel, delving into the researcher’s affiliation with CIERA, their research interests, and any non-academic interests and hobbies.
We hope these videos provide an educational resource for students and the general public to learn more about astronomy and researchers. We hope for students to use these videos to learn something new about science, explore the possibility of a career in science, and to see the human side of science. Students can learn all three of these things by hearing the researcher’s story, a frequent request from Chicagoland teachers.
