For the fifth consecutive year, CIERA Professor Claude-André Faucher-Giguère has been named a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate Analytics. The full 2023 list includes 6,849 individuals; Prof. Faucher-Giguère is one of 75 in the Space Science category. The annual list identifies researchers who demonstrated significant and broad influence in their chosen field or fields through the publication of multiple highly cited papers during the last decade.
“I am honored to have been named a Highly Cited Researcher in Space Science again this year. This distinction recognizes the important research that we do, with CIERA students and postdoctoral fellows, on the theory of galaxy formation,” said Prof. Faucher-Giguère. “One thing that’s noteworthy about this award is that it is not only given for a large total number of citations (which can result from a large number of publications) but for having multiple publications that individually rank in the top 1%, i.e., specific studies that have had high impact.”
Prof. Faucher-Giguère was named to the list and in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. Of the world’s population of scientists and social scientists, Highly Cited Researchers are 1 in 1,000.
