Dr. Vick was a CIERA Postdoc from 2020 – 2023. She is now a Postdoctoral Researcher at Brown University.
Dr. Michelle Vick was the Lindheimer Postdoctoral Fellow at CIERA (2022-2023). She studies tidal physics in a broad range of astrophysical systems. Her interests range from coalescing neutron stars to pre-common envelope binaries to giant planets orbiting their host stars. Michelle uses a combination of analytic techniques and numerical simulations to determine how tidal dissipation affects the orbital evolution of these systems and the structure of their components.
