Professor van der Lee is interested in understanding the dynamics that govern planet Earth and other terrestrial planets. Her research is data-driven and ranges from inferring marsquake mechanisms from minimal data to imaging structural variations in the Earth’s interior via seismic waveform tomography from millions of data.
