Charlie Kilpatrick’s research focuses on observing the lives and deaths of massive stars and the extreme variability, mass loss, luminous explosions, and compact remnants they leave behind. He leads optical and infrared time-domain programs to search the local Universe for these signatures, primarily using telescopes in Arizona, Hawaii, and Chile.
Dr. Kilpatrick was a CIERA postdoc from 2020-2023, joining the CIERA faculty in 2023.
